The largest freshwater reservoir in Central Europe. On the north side it is surrounded by vineyards and orchards. It is characterized by the old town of Keszthely with the romantic castle Festetics and the village of Tihany, also called the city museum. Particularly worth visiting is in late spring or early autumn.
